ABOUT US

Home Staging is the service of decorating homes to sell quickly and for maximum re-sale value. Staging can be as simple as freshening up the house by cleaning, de-cluttering and re-arrangement of furniture. It can become more involved through renovations such as painting, flooring replacement, kitchens/bathrooms, and even furnishing an empty house from top to bottom.

Making a Solid Impression

I began this business because of my love of decorating. I have spent much time of my own helping others make their homes beautiful. Projects that I have been involved in are as small as paint color suggestions, to large projects such as basement and bathroom renovations. Since I was constantly being asked for my opinion, I decided why not make a bit of money doing something I enjoy so much?

I am rewarded when I see a house, or even a room transformed from dull and lifeless to beautiful and inviting. Adding the element of staging to decorating expands my opportunity to help others. I am again rewarded to see homes sell fast and for the money my clients want, simply by using my decorating skills to make their houses desirable to homebuyers.

Is Your House Meeting the Standard?

Colleen Ernewein of Home Impressions Staging and Decorating, Kitchener/Waterloo, has created her business to assist those who are selling their homes. Her focus is to help her clients meet the high standard in this competitive real estate market.

With many television shows, magazines and books, dedicated to decorating, home renovations, repairs and improvements, people are becoming more sensitive to how a home looks on the inside and out. This makes the home buyer much more demanding in what they are looking for. All used homes are in competition with brand new houses that have not been lived in as they sparkle with cleanliness, lack of clutter and are professionally decorated.

Most people hire a professional real estate agent to help with the many challenges of purchasing or selling a home. Many will also hire a home inspector to ensure that the home they are about to purchase is a sound investment. Now, people are seeing the value of a professional home stager to assist them in preparing their homes to make that critical “first impression”. Colleen Ernewein, a professional home stager, is very familiar with all of the necessary components of correct furniture placement, current wall color trends, lighting, organizational ideas and accessorizing.
